EVENT DETAILS:

hob’art co-operative gallery, suite e 208, The Monroe Center, 720 Monroe St., Hoboken, NJ 07030 is proud to announce its next extraordinary show, “NOUS DEUX/NDIOUNE NDIARE”. The exhibit will feature the newest work of Ibou and Liz Ndoye.

Recently married, these two artists have had the unique opportunity of working side by side while creating completely new and exciting works of art. In the past, they enjoyed showing together because their works have a visual affinity. Now that artistic relationship is more visible than ever. Ibou Ndoye is inspired by the visual richness of everyday street life and Liz Ndoye continues to explore the world and culture of her “doll” creatures.

The show will include reverse glass paintings (a Senegalese technique used by Ibou Ndoye and taught to Liz Cohen Ndoye), sculpture, book art, and works on paper and canvas. The rich, saturated colors, varied textures, complex forms and patterns employed by both of these artists will capture any viewer’s interest.

Please come out to meet the artists at their opening reception on December 9, 2017, from 6-8 pm. Food and wine will be served and the event will be free and open to all. Parking and handicapped access are available from the rear of the building. The artists of Hoboken thank the management of The Monroe Center for their support in this endeavor
